North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) is set to acquire several oil fields in Venezuela, previously operated by Chinese and Russian companies, as part of a broader agreement with the U.S. government. This deal allows the U.S. to play a direct role in the production and sale of Venezuelan oil, shifting the market focus from China to the U.S. NABEP will manage 17 oil projects and is expected to pay around $200 billion in royalties and taxes over 25 years. The agreement also involves discussions with Venezuela's 2015 National Assembly to address legal issues related to the country's political transition.
