A powerful explosion occurred in the Plaka tourist district of Athens, causing a building to collapse and injuring at least two people. Firefighters rescued two women from a nearby structure, and a passerby also sustained minor injuries. The area has been cordoned off by police as rescue teams search for any trapped individuals. Images from the scene show debris scattered on the street and damaged parked cars. The cause of the explosion is suspected to be a gas leak, although this has not been confirmed yet.
