A 75-year-old woman from Bucharest nearly lost a significant amount of money due to a scam by two Moldovan men posing as bank and police representatives. They convinced her to withdraw 50,000 lei, claiming her accounts were compromised. After she reported the incident to the police, one suspect was caught while attempting to collect the money, while another was identified as a lookout. Both men were arrested and are facing charges of fraud.
