A photovoltaic park in Dâmbovița will include a large-scale energy storage unit of 600 MWh, developed in two phases. The project aims to harness solar potential and includes a 33 kV connection route. The estimated investment for the battery is 40 million euros. The park, developed by Eco Sun Niculești, has received technical approval and will connect to a new 220 kV station. Initially developed by Econergy, the project was sold to Entek Elektrik, a subsidiary of Tüpraş, in 2024. Entek Elektrik secured a 71 million euro loan for construction, estimated at 100 million euros.
