Pro Infrastructură urges the Ministry of Transport and CFR to reopen the railway section between Cluj-Napoca and Poieni, as modernization works near completion. The railway was closed for reconstruction and electrification to allow speeds up to 160 km/h. The project, funded by PNRR, covers 166 km and aims to enhance passenger and freight transport. The association highlights that reopening could happen by early 2027, despite ongoing work on other sections. They emphasize the need for administrative decisions to facilitate this process and suggest a temporary diesel service could be implemented. Pro Infrastructură calls for bureaucratic efforts to restore this historic connection, which has been in use for over 150 years.
