Numărul românilor care își încasează pensia din Pilonul 2 crește semnificativ. Sunt și contribuabili care amână retragerea activului, deși au dreptul. Explicațiile lui Dan Armeanu, vicepreședinte ASF

The private pension system in Romania is entering a phase where more participants are reaching retirement age and requesting their accumulated funds. Dan Armeanu from the ASF notes a significant increase in withdrawals from the mandatory private pension fund, Pilonul 2, with 42,229 beneficiaries in the first half of 2026, up from 27,316 the previous year. The contribution rate to Pilonul 2 has risen to 4.75% as of January 2024. The total assets in private pension funds reached 246.20 billion lei, marking a 39% increase from the previous year. The average asset per participant is now 27,784 lei, reflecting a 36% growth. The trend of increasing withdrawals is expected to continue due to demographic changes, particularly as the large 'decreței' generation approaches retirement.
