Last week, over 72,000 migrants illegally entered the Spanish exclave of Ceuta, with around 70,000 returning to Morocco. Moroccan authorities arrested 52 individuals related to this migration surge, which resulted in numerous fatalities. EU interior ministers expressed solidarity with Spain and emphasized the need to combat human trafficking networks and enhance border security. They also proposed improving information-sharing mechanisms and developing early warning systems.
