Factors contributing to this trend include economic independence of women, stress from professional life, and unrealistic relationship standards influenced by social media. The number of marriages also declined, with 95,713 recorded in 2025, reflecting a shift in societal attitudes towards marriage and personal fulfillment. Psychologist Keren Rosner highlights the low tolerance for frustration among youth and the quick consideration of divorce as an option.
