Nuclearelectrica: Ambele reactoare ale centralei Cernavodă sunt în stare sigură oprite, cu menținerea în parametri de siguranță

Nuclearelectrica confirmed that both reactors at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant are safely shut down, with no operational or nuclear security risks. The controlled shutdown of Unit 2 was initiated due to the significant decrease in the Danube River's water level. The company ensures that safety parameters are maintained and will communicate transparently regarding reconnection to the National Energy System based on future forecasts. Unit 1 was also shut down on July 28 for similar reasons. Both units, each with a capacity of 700 MWe, contribute to about 20% of Romania's dispatchable electricity production.
