Nuclearelectrica achiziţionează energie electrică din Ucraina cu sprijinul furnizorului din Republica Moldova

Nuclearelectrica is purchasing electricity from Ukraine with the support of Energocom from Moldova to address energy shortages in Romania. This move follows a memorandum signed in 2023 to enhance energy resilience between Romania and Moldova. The imported energy aims to mitigate the impact of the shutdown of Unit 1 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The partnership reflects a long-term commitment to mutual support in energy security, especially amid regional challenges like drought affecting energy production.
