Adrian Botici, former principal of a school in Aușeu, faces trial for sexual assault on minors. Prosecutors allege he abused three students aged 13-14 between 2024-2026. The case was revealed by Bihoreanul, detailing incidents in his office under the guise of providing clothing. Victims reported inappropriate touching and expressed fear of attending classes if he remained. Following media exposure, the investigation was taken over by the Bihor Tribunal's Prosecutor's Office. Botici was initially arrested in May but was released under judicial control after being charged. He maintains his presumption of innocence until a final ruling.
