„Nu suntem țintă militară, dar putem fi ținta unui război psihologic”. Peste 100 incidente aeriene în Republica Moldova, de la începutul războiului
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Moldova has recorded over 100 aerial incidents, primarily involving unauthorized drone flights. Military expert Artur Leșcu highlights the psychological impact of these incidents, suggesting they induce fear and insecurity among the population. The Ministry of Defense reported that 16 drones with explosive payloads entered Moldovan airspace, raising concerns about potential catastrophic consequences if such drones land in populated areas. Leșcu emphasizes the need for improved air defense capabilities and a public warning system, as current measures are insufficient. He argues that Moldova's neutrality should not hinder its defense modernization efforts, as the country faces real threats from the ongoing conflict in the region.
