Romania's gas imports have nearly ceased due to capacity expansion works in Bulgaria, affecting both domestic consumption and transit to Hungary. Currently, only a small amount of gas is entering Romania for transit to Moldova. The cessation of transit to Hungary, which previously received significant volumes, has led to a decrease in gas storage levels in Romania. Despite this, Romanian gas storage is at 80% capacity, better than the EU average. Other countries like Poland have filled their storage to 100%, while Germany lags behind at 56%.
