Defense Minister Radu Miruță stated that an incident in the Black Sea's exclusive economic zone is under investigation, but he refrained from confirming the drones' origin. He mentioned that the incident occurred near the Pescăruș platform, about 8 nautical miles away, and that the Ministry of Defense intervenes only when requested by responsible authorities. Miruță noted that there was no request for intervention from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He highlighted the effective mobilization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport in rescuing eight crew members, while emphasizing the importance of sailors' testimonies for understanding the incident's circumstances. However, he avoided making statements about the drones' origins without official documents.
