Traffic in Oradea is disrupted due to ongoing underground passage construction and issues with traffic lights. The municipality has received numerous complaints about malfunctioning signals and synchronization problems. Officials claim that these issues are isolated and related to the new system's adjustments, which are still in the data collection phase for implementing a 'green wave'. The modernization of the traffic light system, funded by PNRR, is expected to improve traffic flow once fully operational. The project includes 35 intersections and aims to optimize traffic management through real-time data analysis.
