„Nu cedăm”. Aproximativ 300 de susținători ai lui Călin Georgescu, din nou în față la Arestul Central

On Saturday evening, around 300 people protested outside the Central Arrest in Bucharest against the imprisonment of former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu. The crowd chanted slogans like "Călin Georgescu innocent" and "Nicușor traitor." Georgescu stated that he could not confirm reports about a potential change from preventive arrest to house arrest. He mentioned that although media reports seemed credible, neither he nor his lawyers had received official confirmation. Supporters have been gathering since late September when Georgescu was placed in preventive detention after a court ruling favored the DIICOT's appeal against a previous decision allowing him to be under judicial control. Protests have continued outside the detention center since then.
