Nu banii, nu diploma. Ce decide cât de bine învață copilul tău
A study involving over 10,000 students reveals that parents' occupations have a stronger impact on children's academic performance than their education level. The research indicates that the correlation between parents' jobs and students' PISA test scores is more than twice as strong as that between parents' education and scores. Analyzing data from 10,336 15-year-olds, the study found that children of parents in academia, science, or research scored about 7.3% higher. Other fields like technology and engineering also showed significant advantages. The findings suggest that while parental education matters, the profession plays a crucial role in shaping children's educational outcomes, emphasizing the need for schools to bridge the gap between family background and student performance.
