Nu au plecat „de tot”, dar nici nu se mai întorc. Cum arată migrația românilor care n-au plecat din România de nevoie
The article explores the migration of Romanians to the Netherlands, highlighting that many did not leave due to necessity but rather for opportunities. Interviews with 27 Romanians reveal that their moves were often unplanned and motivated by job offers from multinational companies. Despite their successful careers, they do not consider themselves fully integrated into Dutch society, as most do not speak the language fluently. The article contrasts their experiences with the traditional narrative of Romanian migration, which was often driven by economic hardship. Many of these migrants invest in Romania while expressing no intention to return permanently.
