Julie Remen Midtgarden, the deputy responsible for education, emphasized the need for political courage against such data collection practices. She criticized the left-wing government for only considering facial recognition bans while the issue is immediate. Meta's glasses can take photos, record videos, and have AI features, raising privacy concerns. The ban was effective from August 27 but announced later due to political circumstances.
