Nova Power & Gas announced that the Memorandum of Understanding for liquefied natural gas (LNG) signed in November 2025 expired without any agreements. The company claims it was invited to join the memorandum last minute, and discussions regarding the Vertical Corridor project did not involve them. They emphasize that the gas quantities mentioned were primarily for transit, not domestic consumption. Nova Power & Gas also stated that they have not negotiated LNG quantities with other firms and highlighted that American LNG prices would have been lower than current market rates. The memorandum aimed to enhance energy security by diversifying sources, but no binding contract was established before its expiration.
