Discussions regarding the Vertical Corridor for LNG involved only the directly interested states, with Nova Power & Gas claiming it did not participate. The company signed a cooperation agreement for LNG acquisition from the U.S. but states no agreement was reached before the memorandum expired. Nova Power & Gas argues that U.S. LNG would have been cheaper than local gas prices for 2026 and 2027. The company is also involved in other energy projects and is in talks with U.S. traders for LNG imports. Meanwhile, Romgaz clarified that no pressure was exerted by Romanian officials regarding LNG contracts.
