"Noul Transfăgărășan" din vestul României a intrat în lucru. Drumul spectaculos care leagă trei județe este modernizat cu bani europeni

Construction has begun on the inter-county road DJ 684 in western Romania, aimed at modernizing nearly 27 kilometers of mountainous road. The project, funded by European Union resources, will enhance connectivity between Timiș, Caraș-Severin, and Hunedoara counties. The total investment is 446.7 million lei, with significant EU co-financing. The modernization is expected to improve road safety, reduce travel time, and boost local tourism and business opportunities. The project is a collaboration between several county councils and local municipalities, with a 45-month implementation period.
