Noul tineret al Germaniei - Unul din zece tineri din Germania nici nu studiază, nici nu lucrează (Destatis) - Economica.net
The percentage of young people aged 20 to 24 in Germany who are neither studying nor working has increased from 8.8% in 2022 to 10% in 2025. This translates to one in ten young individuals in the country. Despite this rise, Germany's rate remains lower than the EU average of 12.9%. The highest NEET rates are found in Romania, Bulgaria, and France, while the lowest are in the Netherlands, Sweden, and the Czech Republic. Among young women in Germany, the NEET rate is slightly higher at 10.5% compared to 9.6% for men. In urban areas, young people are more likely to be NEET than those in rural areas, which is the opposite in the EU, where rural youth face higher NEET rates.
