Noul Institut de Cercetare în Inteligență Artificială de la Cluj va fi inaugurat în 18 noiembrie

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca will inaugurate its new Artificial Intelligence Research Institute on November 18. The center, located on Observatorului Street, spans 14,000 square meters and will house 33 laboratories. Initially scheduled for completion in November 2025, the timeline was pushed to March 2026, which was not met. The construction cost is approximately 141.8 million lei. The institute aims to collaborate with both large and small companies, providing co-working spaces and research contracts. Funding of 61.19 million lei has been secured for advanced AI research infrastructure, separate from the building costs.
