Romania has experienced a significant increase in fuel prices, with diesel surpassing 10.6 lei/l and gasoline nearing 10 lei/l. This rise is attributed to international oil price hikes, despite a 25% reduction in excise duties. The average price for standard gasoline is now 9.97 lei/l, while standard diesel is at 10.62 lei/l. Compared to last month, gasoline prices have risen by 4.3%, and diesel by 4.8%, leading to higher costs for full tanks. Romania ranks 13th in the EU for cheapest gasoline and 11th for diesel prices.
