Noua lege a prosumatorilor: Ce schimbări aduce în 2026

The new Law no. 160/2026 introduces significant changes for prosumers in Romania, enhancing their rights and providing clearer rules for energy compensation. Prosumers can now offset energy consumption across multiple locations, provided they share the same energy supplier and distribution operator. Additionally, those with installations up to 400 kW can sell excess energy to their supplier or connected consumers. New benefits also apply to individuals with installations up to 27 kW, allowing compensation amounts to cover electricity and gas bills. The law maintains quantitative compensation for installations up to 200 kW until 2030, ensuring no additional taxes on delivered energy. Existing contracts will also benefit from these new provisions.
