President Nicușor Dan has enacted a law modifying the electricity and natural gas legislation, focusing on prosumers. The law allows monthly compensation for energy delivered to the grid for prosumers with installations up to 27 kW. It also enables surplus energy compensation across different consumption sites with the same supplier. Additionally, funds from energy injection can be used for gas bill payments. The installed power limit for compensation requests is raised to 400 kW, and the definition of prosumer now includes energy storage and direct sales. The law faced reexamination but was ultimately upheld by the Constitutional Court.
