A Ukrainian medical products company, Biodex LLC, is considering expanding its production to Maramureș, Romania. The firm specializes in hygiene products and medical consumables. Biodex representatives have met with local authorities and explored various northern Romanian counties, with Maramureș presenting several development options. Potential sites include smart specialization parks in Baia Sprie, Fărcașa, Șomcuta Mare, and Târgu Lăpuș, as well as existing facilities for quicker setup. The company, based in Dnipro, has not yet confirmed its investment decision in Romania, following a trend of Ukrainian firms relocating or investing in the country due to the ongoing war.
