Noua centrală pe gaze de la Mintia a livrat primul megawatt-oră de energie electrică în rețeaua națională
The new gas power plant in Mintia has successfully delivered its first megawatt-hour of electricity to the national grid, marking a significant milestone in its testing phase. This facility, developed by Mass Global Energy Rom, is built on the site of a former coal power plant and features a gas turbine with a capacity of 590 megawatts. Following further tests, the plant aims to achieve a total installed capacity of around 1,700 megawatts. This project is expected to enhance Romania's energy production and reduce reliance on imports, coming nearly five years after the closure of the old coal plant.
