Noua centrală Mintia, la prima aprindere. Turbina pe gaz numărul 1 a funcționat prima dată pe gaz / Urmează finalizarea testelor, sincronizarea cu rețeaua și primii megawați livrați

The first gas turbine at the new Mintia power plant has successfully operated on natural gas, marking a significant milestone for Romania's energy sector. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that after testing and synchronization with the national grid, the plant will soon start delivering megawatts. The two gas turbines will provide around 1,100 MW, contributing to a total installed capacity of approximately 1,700 MW after the combined cycle is completed. This project, with an investment of over 1.2 billion euros, aims to enhance energy production domestically, reduce imports, and improve energy security, especially during peak demand periods. The plant is expected to be fully operational by June 30, 2027, and will be the largest gas power plant on a single site in the EU.
