Noua centrală electrică de la Mintia a livrat azi energie în sistemul energetic național, pentru prima dată. Centrala este în probe - Economica.net

The first megawatt-hour from the new gas turbine at the Mintia power plant has been delivered to the national energy system, marking a significant milestone. This turbine, with a capacity of 590 MW, is undergoing tests to ensure proper synchronization with the grid. The project, which is a major investment in Romania's energy sector, is expected to reach a total capacity of 1,700 MW upon completion. The old coal-fired plant was shut down in July 2021 due to financial issues, and the new facility is being developed by Mass Global Energy Rom, which acquired the site in 2022. The investment is projected to produce around 12,159 GWh of electricity annually.
