R.Power is nearing completion of its first large-scale BESS project in Romania, BESS Scornicești, with a capacity of 127 MW/254 MWh. Construction began in spring 2026, and the project will connect to the national high-voltage grid, enhancing Romania's energy stability. The project has secured €46 million in financing, primarily from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. BESS Scornicești is part of a significant energy storage portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe, with R.Power managing 0.9 GW of operational and under-construction projects. The company aims to support Romania's energy transition and renewable energy integration.
