ENGIE is set to receive authorization for a 54 MW wind farm in Mereni, Constanța, expected to be operational by the end of next year. The project, which has qualified for the CfD auction, will produce an estimated 180 GWh annually, enough to power around 90,000 households. ENGIE, a major player in renewable energy in Romania, aims to exceed 1 GW of installed capacity by 2030. The company has recently expanded its renewable portfolio, including a 253.1 MW wind farm acquisition and a 170 MWp solar park authorization. ENGIE Romania serves over 2.3 million customers and has invested 2 billion euros since 2005.
