Two F-16 aircraft were deployed to monitor the situation, as the drone briefly entered Romanian airspace before heading towards Ukraine, where explosions were reported. Tulcea has experienced multiple RO-Alert messages amid Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. Over the weekend, Romanian Air Forces shot down three drones, with one incident involving a Shahed drone near Buzău.
