Oil Terminal S.A. Constanța has announced a collective labor conflict due to failed salary negotiations, with a 6.5% salary increase demand for 2026. The company is currently involved in ongoing disputes regarding the legality of a strike initiated by the union. A warning strike was planned for September 10, 2026, followed by a general strike on September 17, 2026, which was later deemed illegal by the court. Despite a decrease in total product volume by 14% compared to the previous year, Oil Terminal reported a net profit of 12.2 million lei in the first half of 2026, exceeding budget expectations. The company has also requested a 29% increase in service tariffs, which has not yet been officially approved.
