The public utility project "Energy District" initiated by ELCEN has received official approval for its Urban Planning Plans, paving the way for urban redevelopment in Bucharest. The investment, estimated at 85 million euros, aims to transform over 1.8 hectares of decommissioned industrial land into sustainable buildings that will centralize the national energy ecosystem. The project includes an administrative hub and a multifunctional cultural complex, emphasizing green spaces and energy efficiency. ELCEN is now focused on obtaining necessary permits and exploring funding options, with the goal of creating a modern urban space that integrates energy, technology, and innovation.
