Scatec ASA has signed an agreement to acquire the Urleasca wind project in Romania from OX2 for €168 million. The 77 MW project is located in Brăila County and has a Contract for Difference covering 43 MW at an average price of €71.3/MWh. This acquisition marks Scatec's entry into the European onshore wind market, complementing its existing solar portfolio in Romania. OX2 will manage the project until it becomes operational, with financial close expected in Q3 2026 and commercial operation targeted for late 2028. CEO Terje Pilskog highlighted the project's strong fundamentals and long-term revenue visibility.
