Norvegia sechestrează o navă rusească la cererea Ucrainei. Unde era ancorat vasul de croazieră și cercetare „Professor Molchanov”
Norwegian authorities seized the Russian cruise ship "Professor Molchanov" in Svalbard at Ukraine's request, aiming to enforce an arbitration ruling for $4.22 billion owed to Naftogaz. This action follows Russia's illegal asset confiscation in Crimea in 2014. Naftogaz's interim CEO emphasized the importance of this step towards justice and pledged to pursue Russian assets globally until full compensation is received. The seizure was ordered by a Norwegian court to secure the debt payment, with the ship currently anchored in Barentsburg. The "Professor Molchanov" is an oceanographic research vessel, originally built in 1983 and now adapted for passenger transport.
