Norvegia atacă petrolul şi gazele din Arctica, indiferent de poziţia UE - Economica.net
Norway plans to continue developing its oil and gas resources in the Barents Sea despite EU support for a moratorium on Arctic hydrocarbon exploration. Energy Minister Terje Aasland emphasized the importance of these resources for both Norway and Europe, especially after the country became a major gas supplier post-Ukraine invasion. While the EU advocates for environmental protections, Norway asserts its sovereign right to exploit these resources, arguing they are crucial for long-term energy security. Aasland also stated that Norway no longer sees itself as Europe's 'green battery' due to its limited capacity to balance the European energy market.
