Born on July 20, 1915, she was recognized as the first documented supercentenarian woman in Romania and ranked 124th globally among the oldest living people. Her legacy spans four generations, and she was cared for by her family until her last moments. The local administration expressed condolences and noted her passing marks the end of a rare chapter in Cugir's and Romania's history. Following her death on September 14, the title of the oldest person in Romania now belongs to Iosif Rus, while Viorica Vețian is the oldest woman.
