Major fuel price increases were reported in Romania, with diesel surpassing 10 lei per liter at several stations. OMV Petrom raised diesel prices by 15 bani and gasoline by 10 bani. Rompetrol also increased gasoline and diesel prices. In response to rising costs, the Senate's Economic Committee approved a bill aimed at reducing fuel prices through a dynamic excise tax mechanism. This measure could lower prices by approximately 34 bani per liter for diesel and 36 bani for gasoline, pending parliamentary approval.
