The rise in prices is attributed to escalating oil prices due to geopolitical tensions, including the conflict in the Persian Gulf and the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war. The Brent crude oil price has surged to $93 per barrel, significantly impacting fuel costs in Romania, where diesel prices have risen dramatically in recent weeks. Additionally, Kazakhstan has halted oil deliveries through the Black Sea, further complicating the situation.
