New regulations for prosumers in Romania, effective from July 26, 2026, change energy compensation methods and allow surplus energy use across multiple properties. Prosumers with installations up to 200 kW will have monthly compensation calculated, while those with up to 27 kW can use surplus for gas bills. The law also raises the selling threshold from 200 to 400 kW. Existing contracts are affected by these changes, and the exact financial implications depend on ANRE's updated methodology.
