The Ministry of Health has developed a project to regulate complementary and alternative medicine practices, focusing initially on homeopathic medicines, dietary supplements, and medical devices. The project outlines conditions for practitioner authorization, cabinet operation, professional training, and patient consent. It emphasizes that practitioners cannot guarantee therapeutic results or recommend discontinuing prescribed medical treatments. The regulations aim to create a clear and safe framework for these activities, ensuring patient protection and compliance with existing laws. The Ministry also plans to update Law no. 118/2007 to better reflect current realities in the field.
