Noi măsuri pentru a se asigura apa de răcire pentru reactoarele de la Cernavodă - Economica.net
The National Emergency Committee has approved a phased plan to ensure the water supply for the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant due to expected decreases in the Danube's flow. The plan includes temporary interventions to direct more water to the plant's intake. If water levels drop below 1.58 meters, various measures will be implemented, including positioning vessels to enhance water flow and constructing modular barriers. If these actions are insufficient, high-capacity pumps will be activated to provide additional water. Funding for these measures will come from the Ministry of Environment's reserve fund, while other costs will be covered by respective budgets. The Energy Ministry stated that the plant will not resume operations before September 10 due to unstable water levels.
