A company controlled by Augustin Oancea is set to receive permits for two battery installations near existing solar parks, co-funded by the Modernization Fund. The project includes energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 12 MW, connected to operational solar parks in Târgu Cărbunești. The total project cost is estimated at 34 million lei, with 9.6 million lei from European funds. The authorizations will be valid for 22 months, and the energy storage capacity in Romania is rapidly increasing, projected to reach 2,000 MW by early next year.
