New hearings took place in the case of businessman Fănel Bogos, accused of instigation to blackmail and influence peddling. He allegedly paid to persuade Ilie Bolojan to remove the director of the Veterinary Sanitary Directorate in Vaslui. Ciprian Trifan, the president of the Vaslui County Council, was summoned as a witness at DNA Iași to clarify any pressure he faced regarding this change. Trifan denied any pressure during his testimony. The case, opened in November 2025, involves allegations of corruption and influence peddling against Bogos, who is currently under judicial control.
