Two Spanish F-18 aircraft took off from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base after a radar detected an aerial target near the Romania-Ukraine border. Residents in northern Tulcea received a RO-Alert message, but the Ministry of Defense confirmed no incursions into Romanian airspace occurred. The target was located near Vâlkove, Ukraine, prompting the National Military Command Center to notify emergency services. The F-18s were deployed to monitor the situation, and the alert was lifted at 01:30.
