Nivelul scăzut al apelor Dunării în Bulgaria dezvăluie un pod din epoca romană

The exceptionally low water levels of the Danube have revealed parts of the ancient bridge built by Emperor Constantine I, allowing Bulgarian archaeologists to document this significant Roman engineering feat. The bridge, inaugurated in 328 AD, connected Ulpia Oescus and Sucidava and is considered one of the longest bridges of antiquity. Researchers from the Pleven Regional Historical Museum have utilized drones to map and photograph the exposed remains, providing a rare opportunity to study the structure in its natural environment.
