Nivelul Dunării la Cernavodă a scăzut luni cu 5 cm și devine critic pentru al doilea reactor al centralei de la Cernavodă
The National Administration "Apele Române" advises the Lower Danube River Administration to continue dredging to ensure water flow to the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, as the Danube's water level has dropped critically. The level at Cernavodă decreased by 5 cm, reaching -227 cm, with further declines expected. Dredging is necessary to maintain access for water flow, especially as the river's flow at Baziaș remains low. Future increases in water levels are anticipated after August 24-26, 2026, which may alleviate the current critical situation.
